How to Apply Online (Step-by-Step Guide)
The government has made the process extremely simple. Follow these four steps:
Step 1 – Scan QR Code on Electricity Bill
Find the new QR code printed on the bottom left of your latest electricity bill.
- Open your phone camera or QR scanner
- Scan the QR code
- Tap the link that appears
If the website does not open due to heavy traffic, refresh or try again later.
Step 2 – Verify Consumer Information
The QR code will open the official PITC portal.
Your meter details will automatically appear, including:
- Reference number
- Consumer name
- Sanctioned load
Scroll to the Occupant Details section.
If the meter is not in your name (for example landlord or family member), you can enter your own details here.
Step 3 – Enter CNIC & Mobile Number
- Tap the Scan button and scan the QR code on the back of your CNIC.
- Enter your mobile number.
- Click Send OTP.
Step 4 – OTP Verification & Submit Application
- Enter the 6-digit OTP sent via SMS.
- Click verify.
Once successful, you will see confirmation:
“Registration Successful – Your application has been recorded.”
Your application is now submitted to your electricity distribution company (LESCO, FESCO, MEPCO, etc.).
